Posted on Apr 30, 2009 under Menopause | No CommentA decline in the use of hormone replacement therapy for menopause symptoms, hot flashes and night sweats, since 2002 correlates to a reduction in heart attacks among U.S. women from more than 30% to less than 15%, a new study found. Investigators didn’t find a decrease in the rate of strokes, however. Health experts noted the reduced heart attack rate also could be attributed to better screening for heart disease risk factors and better awareness of a woman’s heart attack symptoms. Yahoo! (04/24)
