Did you ever show up to school wearing a cowgirl hat? My eyes are almond shaped too. What’s up with the *chinky* comments though? I never quite understood that. I mean, I HAVE eyelids, lol (no offense meant, BTW)! Now that I am older it’s a blessing.

The kids used to call me “Chinese Jackass”. I am Cherokee but my eyes are almond shaped. At that time in my life, being an Indian was not cool. They taught us in school that Indians were murderers and scalpers, that they were the bad people and the cowboys were the good people.
