Stop Postponing Your Opportunity To Get In Shape Until You Make Your New Year’s Resolution
Posted on Jun 12, 2010 under Uncategorized | No CommentYou know it is about time to do something about your weight gain issues so when will you get started? We seem to need a starting point to persuade us. Like saying we will start on the new year or after any holiday or what ever. But the more you delay the more difficult it will be to drop those pounds. How about getting started right now.
It is very simple to put off something like starting a diet and exercise program. When you are not fit you end up getting tired quickly. You want to believe that it is because you are getting old but really it is not. There are people out there must older than you who are running marathons each year so that is not the case. Being out of shape can make you feel older than you really are and what better way to feel young again than being able to keep up with people younger than you. You do not want to delay that feeling.
See, there are many benefits for jump starting your weight loss goals. If you keep delaying then you will always find excuses for not changing your diet and exercising. Plus, if you begin today you will get pass the dreaded two week period when most people call it quits. Setting a date to begin will only make you anticipate the date until you have to make that change. You may wind up depressed by the time the countdown is over.
Taking a solid stand will help you get motivated. Once you set your mind to it you will be unstoppable. And once you start to feel that you are getting fit then you will be even more motivated to not stop. Waiting will only drive you to put it off until you end up in a situation where you are forced to. Like when you end up on doctor’s orders.
Set a goal for where you want to be. Let’s say 20 to 30 pounds from what you currently weigh. But do not set a time table to finish like four to eight weeks. Your diet and exerise program will end once you get to the weight you want to be. But once you acheived your mission you still will not be done. You must have some type of plan in place to stay at your new weight so you will not become overweight in the future. That is the one step most people leave off that causes them to believe that their diet plan did not work. A diet is only designed to help you drop some weight not keep it off. Regular exercise and a change in your eating habits will help you with that.
Now get started today. Not tomorrow or next year. Decide that you want to drop that weight now so you will not end up just putting it off for later. You will be glad that you did.
